Ahh delays
Recently, the Camarilla has suffered from news that there will be a soft reset. This means that player will loose all of their experience points that they have gained from, potentially, years of play. They will all have to rebuild their characters from the ground up. This has caused many of the players to decide that they will not renew their membership, and in my Domain especially, almost 90% of the player base seems to be uninterested in continuing with the Camarilla. Due to these events I have decided that a delay from working further on the CamDenver site would be prudent that I need to clean up what I have now and get things out, though a delay is still being considered.
I plan to focus more on my efforts to create a custom theme for this site. Honestly I’m tired of using what other’s have provided and I really want to build something for myself. Maybe even it’ll motivate me to begin working on my artwork again.
My biggest concern right now is my addiction to the World of Warcraft. Often times I prefer to play the game rather then work on other projects. I am hopeful, however, that this will begin to die down soon. I have managed to level my favorite character to 80, the current max level, and I almost have him fully geared in 5-man heroic gear. This leaves 10/25 man content gear, which I only have a chance to run once a week. The only thing that would be available to me after that point would be for me to level another alt, of which I have a mage and a rogue within 20 levels of 80, but at this time that’s not very appealing to me.
I remain hopeful that event’s will play out as I have planned in my head. I’ll get all the 5-man gear I want for my druid then loose interest in playing every night for hours on end. Then I will start working on the things I need to. Finally I’ll get myself on a good and proper schedule for pumping out valuable content.
Here’s to crossed fingers!
Tangent: Recently I started using XAMPP to host a development site on my home computer, this has been a drastic improvement in my development cycle. This is mostly because I can see the effect changes I make immediately. In the past I have had a machine running Linux standing by that would host a local version of my page, but again I would have to work locally and then move the files to another machine. This makes it so I don’t have to move anything, and anything that helps me be a little bit lazier is awesome, he-he.
